An opportunity has presented itself to appoint a suitably qualified candidate into the position of Admin Clerk: Send Away Pta. This is a Permanent position based at Pretoria .
 
Job Summary:
Responsible for sending away specimens to the relevant labs to meet the required service level standards.
Responsible for the day to day management reports
 
Minimum Criteria Required:
Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification

 
Experience:
0-1 Yrs Relevant Working Experience
 
Relevant Job Knowledge:
Organisational policy procedures
Pre and Post analytical laboratory process and procedures
Computer literate
Laboratory information systems
 
Key Performance Areas:
• Responsible for checking the refrigerator for any work left overnight or during the weekend to ensure that all specimen batches are attended to timeously

• Conduct check-ups from the Meditech dictionary on specimens received against the requisition form to ensure that they have been logged correctly

• Print out batches for Labs, stamp proof of delivery (POD) and submit to the relevant labs.

• Conducts bench inspections (physical check of working areas) for send away bench and send away fridge(to ensure turnaround time is met and that all queries are resolved, timeously

• Responsible for send away shipping batches to ensure that turnaround time is met

• Ensure that specimens sent away are received by relevant labs/ sites


• Coaches, mentors and motivates staff in order to develop the team and ensure delivery of consistently superior service

• Attends to escalated queries in own area via mox, task, telephonically or face to face from doctors in the absence of managers

• Ensures there’s sufficient stock on the floor for own area and reports to manager if stock needs to be reordered

• Responsible for basic housekeeping including suitable cleaning and preparation of equipment components such as fridges according to set standard operating procedures.

• Responsible for day to day management reports

• Responsible for giving all Send Away related training to new and existing staff as per instruction from Management when needed.
• Responsible for checking the temperature sheet/chart.

Remuneration:
