Job Summary

Performs duties pertaining to refunds of Lancet debtor accounts

Minimum Criteria Required

Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification
Tertiary Education in Business Administration/ Finance and/or Accounting preferred

Experience

> 2 Years Relevant Working Experience (Finance/Accounting/Business Administration)

Relevant Job Knowledge

Healthcare billing procedures, documentation and standards

Key Performance Areas

• Processes and validates refunds, ensuring that they have the necessary authorization by management and documentation, to enable the adjustment to be processed timeously and correctly to facilitate reduction in patient credits.
• Validates patient credits and updates patient status’ and information on the Lancet systems.
• Attends to the filing of refund documentation ensuring it is readily retrievable for audit purposes.
• Carry out adhoc duties and special projects as required by management.
