An opportunity has presented itself to appoint a suitably qualified candidate into the position of Maintenance Handyman. This is a Permanent position based at PTA, Pencardia.

Valid Drivers licence
Grade 12

Key Performance Areas:
|
Supervising welding team
• Oversee welding team and incumbent welds on site as well
Provide on the job - welding training
• Provide on the job welding training, ensuring skill enhancement and developing craftsmanship skill
• Laying and cutting Ceramic tiling, doing measurement and levelling, ensuring precision and customer satisfaction
Building erecting
• Erecting of dry walling ensure safe working environment
Purchase and collect stock from suppliers
• Purchase and collect stock from suppliers ensuring adequate stock available when needed
General housekeeping
• Overseeing general housekeeping and neatness on site where work is performed, ensuring health and safety and also customer satisfaction
Filing of job cards and report back
• Filing of job cards ensuring both work gets done and staff gets remunerated in accordance.
• Reports back to Maintenance co-ordinator, if further tools or material are needed to ensure adequate completion of task
Fitting and fixing
• Fit light bulbs, and plugs, and perform minor electricity requirement, ensuring basic and safe power supply.
Building and Carpentry
• Brick laying, plastering, paving, painting, welding, fitting of windows
• Carpentry – repair, fitting and storing furniture. Fitting ceilings, shelves, and skirting’s. Paint and hanging pictures ensuring adequate ergonomics in the work environment
Installations
• Install locks safes and post boxes at external supporters premises as requested by PRO’s
