An opportunity has presented itself to appoint a suitably qualified candidate into the position of Desk Top Publishing (D.T.P.). This is a PERMANENT position based at RICHMOND AUCKLAND PARK.
 
Job Summary:
Desk Top Publisher for Lancet Laboratories and Electronic Laboratory Services specific documentation to required specifications and standards. General Assistance within the department.
 
Minimum Criteria Required:
Grade 12
Corel Draw Certification

 
Experience:
2-3 Yrs Relevant Working Experience
 
Relevant Job Knowledge:
Computer literate
 
Key Performance Areas:
• Processing and updating of Hornbill Incident requests daily and execute tasks which include scanning, e-mailing, printing, editing and designing to meet business requirements within TAT
• Confirm printing specifications and parameters of tasks telephonically with requestor/s and action to ensure customer satisfaction
• Design, present and edit presentations and marketing material in line with marketing briefs and specific guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction
• Obtain feedback and sign off (approval) on designs before going to print to ensure only approves materials are printed
• Assist with tracking on the courier system to ensure after service delivery.
• Report to Management regarding problems experienced with processes and procedural operations and ensure that existing problems are resolved.
• Assist within the department to ensure high quality end results.
• Telephonic assistance to ensure excellent customer service.
• Advises and trains new staff on processes and procedures of the Print Room to ensure that new staff has the know-how and ability to perform required tasks.
• Conducts housekeeping duties to ensure that a clean and safe working environment is maintained.
• Assist with finishing function, i.e. glue binding, cutting, sorting and distribution of request forms/pads, spiral binding, laminating, packaging of outgoing product to ensure safe delivery

Remuneration:
